My Story:

Hi, I’m Jenny Soffe, founder of RESET. I am a weight management specialist dietitian, I spend every day helping people navigate weight loss and health optimisation in a healthy, safe, and sustainable way. But something doesn’t sit right with me.

I see the same pattern over and over again: people spend decades stuck in a harmful cycle. They try a new diet, lose some weight, then gain it all back plus more, trapped in a cycle of dieting and defeat; blaming themselves for “failing” and becoming more unhealthy every year.

With incredibly long waiting lists increasing in NHS weight management services, I realised the system was broken. People are desperately seeking help from the only regulated and specialist health professionals trained to support safe weight loss, but they can’t get an appointment.

Despite what prevailing societal messaging might have you believe, the problem isn’t my clients’ lack of willpower—it is the system itself. Every time we’re unable to offer an appointment with an appropraitely trained professional, we leave people vulnerable to what I all “The Weight Loss Wild West”. Where weight loss is treated like a battle to be won quickly by any means, not a journey toward lasting health.

So I decided to disrupt the status quo. I founded RESET to change the way you can access weight management support. I’m not here to sell a one-size-fits-all diet plan or a quick fix. Instead, I’m here to help people break free from dieting culture and build sustainable, long-term habits that work in the real world. I will work hard to bring as much evidence-based, safe, information to the people who need it as I can for free. A social enterprise weight management service for the good of the people.
